It Exceeded My Expectations!

So, I went to see Transformers tonight. I used to play with the toys as a kid and watched all the cartoon shows and movies. So, when EVERYONE was hyping this movie, I figured that I'd hate it and be dissapointed. WRONG! Yeah, I was pretty amazed at the movie. It seemed to hold up true to the cheesy cartoons back in MY day! The movie had that comic book humor to it, but man, the robots look freakin awesome!

Costa Rica....I'm coming soon!

So I'm nearing the final stages for the upcoming trip to Costa Rica. Can I confess that I honestly have no idea what I'm doing at this point? I shouldn't confess that should I?....good point, never mind that last thought.

Last year our motley crew of folks pulled off some truly amazing feats. I have great memories of that trip! Here's a slide show LINK ( Be sure to watch for Adam's interesting Slide choice during his Free Bird solo!)

Anyway, now I've got 3 guys lined up to form a band and I'm putting together a set list for the clubs we'll be playing in at night. I'm trying to coordinate the flights, schedules, money, and paperwork...plus disseminating the communication to the right folks. I know it sounds like I'm complaining, however, it is more of a "oh crap this is really happening" whine than a complaining whine.

At any rate, the trip will be amazing. I've talked to several of the people going and I cannot wait to see what God does on this trip. Please pray for the team and for my leadership to continue to be developed while I'm there.

My Head Is Spinning

Have you ever gotten to that place where you just wish a certain event, period of time, or situation would end...and like, END RIGHT NOW!!!! Well, this my friends is where I am living lately. My recent lack of blogging activity has been due to a business trip, family health, and trying to be a good husband, father, son, employee, and friend. The last few days I've felt like (okay, I'm going to be a dork for a minute)...like Bilbo Baggins as he says, "I feel like butter spread across too much bread."

I really like butter on my bread. As a matter of fact, I like a lot of butter on my bread. I remember eating at Steak and Ale as a kid and consuming a whole mini loaf with sweet butter all by my lonesome. The problem is, when you spread too little butter across too much bread...it's just not the same. It flat looses its taste.

Soon, the personal trips, business trips, and mission trips will end. Life will return to a somewhat predictable order. If you think of it, send up a little prayer for my wife Rachel. Family health issues are at the forefront of all our concerns lately.

I'll be back soon. Writing with a feverish....something or other...(couldn't think of anything witty!)
