Video Conferencing

Here at, we have divided up our campuses into two regions. Ours is Region 1 which consists of these campuses:

Tulsa, OK
South Tulsa, OK
Wellington, FL
Albany, NY
Ft. Worth, TX
Hendersonville, TN
Stillwater, OK

So, one of the ways we stay connected is through a monthly meeting using our video conferencing equipment. This is a great resource to us, but we sometimes look a little too pixelated.

Adobe offers another tool to allow video and txt conferencing that we're looking into so that we don't have to rely on the buggy video conf. equipment we're currently using.

Here's a screen shot taken by Chris Rogers, our Wellington Worship Pastor.

Looky What I Got!

For Father's Day, Ezra (only 16 months mind you) got me an 8GB iPod Nano. So...I had to get an armband and the new Nike+ pedometer thingymabobber. I plan on running tomorrow whilst some lady tells me how far I've run, and how fast I did it in. I'm purdy excited!

Favorite Cigar?

We went to the baby Dr. today to determine the gender of our kiddo. What do ya's a BOY! As one of my favorite comedians (Mitch Hedburg) once said..."my favorite cigars are, itsaboys."

Yay, now we don't have to buy new clothes or paint anything pink and toile.

Bird Poo

We took a trip to the Zoo today with our friends the Craigs. Ezra really likes birds so we went into the Feather Fest exhibit with a ton of birds. He almost crushed one in his little hand. We would have had to name it Petey and stroked it while re-assuring it that it was a "pretty bird."

Anyway, check out the flickr album by clicking on the photo. Good times to be had by all!

Our Building Got Ink'd

Part of being a multi-site church is having a certain branding that makes each location look and feel the same as the rest of them. One way we accomplish this is through series art and signage on the exterior of the building. This is usually provided to us by the central team in the form of vinyl banners which look pretty good.

We did a little investigating though, and found out that one of our locals... Jake Beeson, has a certain skill that is a by-product of a misfit youth! He can tag. By tag, I mean he can spray paint on walls and it looks phenomenal.

We asked Jake to cover a wall near the main entrance with the series art for the Warrior series, the middle of the building with a logo for Switch, and the front corner with the OnePrayer logo. All of the work he did by just using regular cans of paint from Home Depot and he just starts tracing....just all free hand. So, we've been using his skills...take a gander...

I Wish I Could Solo

Yeah, this is Chris Hyde. He's good. I'm staring at him wondering if I can fool the crowd into thinking that I'm actually jamming with him. It's more like I'm looking at his guitar thinking to myself, "hmm, I have no idea how to play that..."

BUT. My friend Chris did teach me the sig-lick to Sweet Home Alabama which I play quite well now. Thanks buddy!
